Release notes - Visitor Aware - 9.1.2
Improvements
OneRoster: Students: Import student middle names
Move the "Security" role from the permissions screen to a user setting
Set "Enable long press to activate emergency?" to No by default.
This improvement disables a security feature as a default for new clients which enables a long-press on the iPad kiosks to activate emergencies to prevent support requests from accidentally activated emergencies.
CSV Visitors Import: Remove required DOB and Sex parameters
Currently, the CSV visitors.csv import requires DOB, Sex, city, state, and zip, however, many schools don’t have that level of demographic information on their guardian populations. This improvement allows syncing without required demographics.
New Features
Volunteer Portal Toggle -> Turn on/off the ability to allow volunteers access to the volunteer portal
Kiosk Translations API
This feature allows us to more easily support translations for the iOS Check-in Kiosk application by managing and retrieving translations from the Visitor Aware API.
Multi-Org to Single Location Sync
This new feature allows schools with singular buildings housing multiple schools to sync to Visitor Aware under a single location. An example use case is where a K-6 and 7-9 school is housed in the same physical building, but students are rostered to two separate OrgIds in the student information system.
