Release notes - Visitor Aware - 10.0.3

Improvements

Mobile App/Desktop App: Use the same name for Desktop Application ID

This improvement adds consistency to the Mobile App/Desktop App by using the same verbiage for the desktop printer helper identifier.

Active Family Reunification -> Hide release prompt upon login

This improvement hides the release prompt upon login during an active Family Reunification.

Visitor Aware Check-In Kiosk: Use a passcode to access the gear icon

Visitor Aware Check-In Kiosk: Use a passcode to access the gear icon. This also updates verbiage in the user settings to reflect the change.

Volunteer Application data not transferred into the volunteer profile

This improvement ensures that when a visitor already exists and applies to be a volunteer, all of their information is correctly added from the volunteer form to the existing profile.

Web Kiosk IL biometrics disclosure check box missing

This improvement adds required support for explicit opt-in-to-store facial recognition for visitors to locations in Illinois when using the web-based check-in kiosk.

New Features

Change the InformaCast linked emergency button to automatically trigger a Scenario

This new feature makes it so that when a client has an active InformaCast connection with Visitor Aware and clicks the emergency button within Visitor Aware, an InformaCast scenario is automatically activated. This includes a countdown timer to activate (when enabled) automatically.

Volunteer Profile: Add button for "Extensive Screening"

This new feature adds an option to manually record an "Extended Screening" flag and date to volunteer profiles.

Web Kiosk Mode: Add Student Self Sign-In/Out

This new feature adds new student self-sign-in and out options to the web check-in kiosk.

Visitor Aware Check-in Kiosk: Add Brother SDK for Non-Airprint Print Support

This adds a Brother tab in the Printer Settings of the iOS Kiosk app. This allows a user to configure a printer to be used for printing badges in a similar way to AirPrint. For iOS devices running iOS version 17 or higher, this is likely the only way to successfully print to a badge printer without using the desktop application.

Visitor Aware Check-in Kiosk: Add screen showing the app version, iPad's current IP Address, and iPad's Mac Address for quick reference

Adds a display to the new iOS check-in kiosk to show the current app version, iPad's current IP address, and iPad's Mac address all in one spot. It can be seen by tapping the version button in the settings menu in the app (the last button in the settings menu).

Bugs

InformaCast integration - visitor with court order trying to check in doesn't trigger incident scenario for enterprise client

This bugfix ensures that enterprise clients with an active InformaCast connection can receive alerts from Visitor Aware for court order entry attempts.

Prevent a user's default location from referencing a deleted location

This improvement adds a step when deleting a location to select a new default location for any user who has their default location set to the location being deleted.

Visitor self-registration - require ID setting doesn't work properly when sex offender and watchlist checks are disabled

This bug fix addresses an issue where identification input fields on visitor self-registration weren't validated consistently.
