School admins can use Dismissal Manager to set students' default daily dismissal types from which to dismiss students:
- Bus
- Carline
- Parent Pickup
- Walker
- After School Program
- Unassigned
Students fall into the “unassigned” default dismissal type after procurement or at the beginning of the school year. Typically, the school or district notifies parents and guardians to set their students’ default dismissal types through the Guardian Portal.
Administrators can set student default dismissal types when needed by following these steps.
- Log in to Visitor Aware.
- From the left navigation panel, click People | Students |View Students.
- Click the Student ID, or the student’s First or Last name. The Edit Student page appears.
- Click the Dismissal Assignment tab.
- From the Manage Student Dismissal Defaults section, click the dropdown menus to select the appropriate dismissal type for each of the five days of the week.
- Click the Save button.
