There are six different ways to manage user import and sign-on access to Visitor Aware. We will discuss these options within this help article and video posted below.

Add/Manage Users and SSO Options within Visitor Aware

  1. Add users one-by-one
  2. Import users via spreadsheet
  3. Azure SSO (Provisions User)
  4. Google SSO*
  5. Okta SSO*
  6. ClassLink SSO (Provisions User)

*Users may sign in using these credentials; however, the user must be imported/added into Visitor Aware to enable this SSO functionality.

Google SSO:

After adding or importing your users into the Visitor Aware system, they may sign in with their Google credentials directly from the login page: app.visitor-aware.com

Adding users one-by-one:

To add a singular user, please add their information here: https://app.visitor-aware.com/users/create

Please note: If users are being shared from your SIS or ClassLink provider, their role comes in as specified in that platform. Their school location access will also be granted based on what is specified within the SIS/ClassLink software. There is a way to override a user's role within Visitor Aware; however, we advise against this approach if at all possible. Ideally we like to keep the SIS the source of truth.
